for IndigoInk
I don’t dance except
when I fly, my feathers
sewn in ink. No one
sees my twists and turns,
only the sea far below.
My feet are bound
for Mars. A splash
is what you hear.
Who sees the tears
in joy and sorrow
of all the poets
who dance alone?
